INDIAN WEDDING MAKEUP

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending one of my boyfriend's cousin's weddings. Before the actual wedding there are sometimes (in traditional Indian culture) occasions called a Roce. This event is where family and friends come together to celebrate and bless the bride and groom to be. This couple in particular requested everyone come in traditional clothing, and although I could not wear the entire outfit due to my large belly, I tried to spice up my LBD as much as possible, focusing on makeup and accessories.

For this look, I used MAC Pro Longwear foundation as it gives buildable medium coverage, and lasts all night without smudging or creasing.. or disappearing when you give about a hundred cheek-to-cheek kisses. To set my foundation I used Estee Lauder's Luminous Powder to blur any lines, bumps, or imperfections on my face. This powder is translucent and personally a product I will probably repurchase my entire life. For my [very subtle] highlight and contour I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit which is powder based. My palette is light to medium.

Brows were done with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Chocolate.

My lips have been very dry since pregnancy started for me, so using an intense or dramatic colour wasn't really an option for me this day. A subtle rosy pink had to do.. no liner.

Earrings are Kate Spade.

I am currently trying to get my picture quality to be much better, as I am aware of how hard it is to see the makeup well in the washed-out lighting in this picture. Please bare with me as I get this all set up, I promise better quality photos to come!

BABYMOON

Babymoon! Last week I was fortunate enough to visit the Riu Palace Punta Cana with my boyfriend, my two brothers and my parents. It was a very lovely much needed vacation, and although Chad and I were not completely alone we still had an amazing time with my family. Taking a bit of a break away from the stresses and turmoils of day-to-day life is something I would recommend to anyone who can take advantage of the opportunity to do so. I did have to take a few extra precautions since I was traveling so late in my pregnancy, but nothing was a hassle and I loved every second of being away.

29 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE

The time has come, where the days of second trimester have come to an end. Upon just beginning my third and final trimester, I am reflecting back on the past weeks and how much has changed.
Although the end being very different from the beginning of the second trimester, the most noticeable changes have happened to me in the last few weeks.. probably starting around week 24. My belly is definitely at the top of my list of biggest changes. A few weeks ago I noticed my skin starting to feel tighter day by day, and seeing my baby girl move around through my skin became very easy. Every kick and punch, toss and turn can now be seen right through my shirt if it happens to be a tight one. This absolutely melts my heart and brings me so much joy; knowing my daughter is moving around and having fun with me as I gently poke around is a sensation I know I will miss about being pregnant once she is born.
